The second section of the Telehandler Gold Card Training program is a demonstration of the operation of telescopic handlers, followed by a practical assessment to ensure that the operator is skilled in the safe use of the equipment. Upon successful completion of the telehandler training course under the instruction of an accredited trainer, the operator is issued a telescopic handler Gold Card. The Gold Card certifies that the operator has demonstrated competence in the safe use of the telehandler, and it also ensures that the employer and user all have documentary evidence that the required “duty of care” has been met or exceeded under the OH & S Acts.
