Guillermo Haro: Playing Two Big and Different Roles at the Same Time
August 7th, 2010It was not long since the first man has walked on the moon. It was not also long when the first philosophers appear on earth. We all know that astronomers and philosophers play big and different important roles which has the same end result and that is to make life easier, comfortable, and more improved. These two roles are sometimes played by just one person. Imagine how this person does all the work and carry all the responsibilities these two roles have. One of these great personas who struggled to attain goals as a philosopher and astronomer is Guillermo Haro.
Guillermo Haro is one of those names that make a big difference in our lives either by helping invent new things or helping solve old problems. He is a philosopher who thought well and an astronomer who performs best. A lot of his works are already seen and they are proven to have uplifted the current status of human life. More wonderful things are expected to arrive from the famous and brilliant astronomer and philosopher who ever lived in this world.
Haro, along with his companion uncovered the object known as Herbig-Haro. These are described as bright and small that was formed during a collision of materials from star formation. In Mexico, he also contributed a lot where he settled and developed further on astronomy. It includes Haro’s research and studies in Astrophysical Observatory at Tonantzintla, Puebla.
From 1943 to 1945, Guillermo Haro worked in Harvard College Observatory as a scholar. He was also studying as a scholar at Nassau Observatory in 1944 to 1945 at Case Western University. Haro still wants to learn more and go deeper on his training at Yekes Observatory (1945-1946) on astronomy at University of Chicago. Aside from that, he also went to McDonald Observatory in University of Texas at Austin.
